The Newest AJHS Majorette Is...

Sooooooo PROUD of my baby girl! She worked so hard, and it paid off!

You are looking at the newest members of the 2011-2012 AJHS Majorettes!

There are 15 of them total.
Aren't they the prettiest group of girls?!

The "7th" Grade Majorettes...At least that's what they'll be next year.
Five out of six of them have all been taking lessons together for the last year or so from the baton "guru" in a nearby town...It paid off!

Calling Daddy to tell him the good news!

Getting a hug from last year's Captain, Aly.

Calling Nana!

Annaleigh and her bestest best friend talking to their Daddies! I'm so proud that BOTH of them made it! Her mother was rooting for Annaleigh just as much as her own daughter.

I think that a major reason for Annaleigh's success is due to this precious young lady, Miss Jill. She helped Annaleigh during the week of tryouts and tweeked her routine to give her just the right amount of spunk and sass!! What makes you think she knows anything about twirling?? Well, she just graduated from the University of Alabama, and while she was there, she was a Crimsonette!! Now, if you're not from the South, you might not understand this, but here, these girls are celebrities!! They're the closest thing to royalty that you can get!

Happy Easter 2011!

What a wonderful Lord's Day! It could not have been any better! The weather was absolutely beautiful, my children are all happy and healthy, and we spent the day as one big, happy family. I loved talking all weekend about the importance of Easter with my kids. I hope they always remember that the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the real meaning of Easter.

When I grew up, we always went to Sunrise Service, but the church we have gone to for the past 19 years (wow) is really big, so we don't do that. It was always such a special memory for me, so I am trying to make equally memorable moments for my kids now. We love to tell the Easter story using Resurrection Eggs, and we love to watch Miss Patty Cake tell the story using those as well.

This is our traditional family picture outside of church on Easter Sunday. We started doing this for Annaleigh's first Easter, and we have done it ever since! Here is last year when I was 20 weeks pregnant with Aubrey:

And this is our family this year...
Now we are complete.
All the places at my table are filled.

Annaleigh, 12, Alden, 5, and Aubrey 8.5 months

After church, we came home to see what the Easter Bunny had brought the kiddos and take some pics of the kids by themselves.

Annaleigh got some new Brighton earrings, Alden got a Lego Hero Factory toy...

And Aubrey got a slew of toys, including a baby animal book, some stacking cups, a chirping chick, and a vibrating pig!

Then, we went to Nana and Granddaddy's for some food, fun, and fellowship.

Aubrey and Pappy playing...
That's Great-Granny Dunn and brand spanking new Baby Cohen.

Sweet baby girl is happy like this all the time!

Picking up her very first Easter egg!

And tasting it...

She got pretty good at this!

There's that happy baby again!

Lush green grass and baby feet just go together!

One of the only pictures of Annaleigh actually hunting eggs...

Alden hunting eggs...

Annaleigh, Jason, and Uncle Wesley chatting it up...

Driving the wagon train with Pappy...

Alden and Cousin Claire wallowing in the back of train car #1...

Family friends Kayla and Taylor hopped in for a ride, too!

My baby boy's not a baby anymore...

Is that the Easter bunny?

Mommy wanted to ride with the little ones, too!

Outfit change for some sweet pictures! This was Aubrey's first Easter dress that I bought, then I found the "Tiffany Blue" silk one, and I melted!

Hiding in the bushes...

Eating some bark...

Annaleigh and Alden...

 More finds...

What a face! I love this boy so much!

Happy Easter Everyone!

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

Matthew 27:50-53

Aubrey is 8 Months Old!

Aubrey, you are EIGHT months old!! I can't believe how fast the time has flown! You are still the happiest baby all the time. We drag you all over creation with your brother and sister, and you just don't seem to care in the least. Right now, it's T-ball season, so the weather could be just about anything. You just roll with the punches.

You still love going to "school" each day, and you are in LOVE with your teachers Mrs. Judy and Mrs. Linda. They both say you are the best baby all day, and you never get upset. Mrs. Wren, another teacher, was telling me that one day she came in to help with the babies, and you were a little testy about how quick they were about getting your bottle! She said that you very clearly yelled "Mama!" We have been working on that with you at home, but we haven't heard it yet. Maybe if I make you mad enough you will!

We are working on clapping and crawling, although once you start, I'm sure I'll wish I could keep you in one place. You are the funniest thing when it comes to crawling! You get up on all-fours and just rock back and forth. You look down at your legs and it looks like you're thinking, "I know this works for Alex and Braxton!" We know you'll get the hang of it soon, and when you do, 'Katie Bar the DOOR!'

Another funny thing is that you like being in your walker outside. We have been working out in the backyard on the "never ending pool project" for the last several weeks, just about every afternoon after work. Annaleigh is such a good helper with you, and so is Alden really. They bring your walker outside and keep up with you by attaching the dog's leash to it!

You are still eating about the same...and sleeping about the same, too! You usually wake up once per night. Sometimes, we try to wait you out on the bottle and see if you'll go back to sleep. That's also usually a waste of our time. Once you eat, you go right back to sleep. Spoiled? I'm sure. But you're my last baby. I'll wake up with you whenever you want. I can sleep with you're in college.

Right now, you are still wearing a size 3 diaper, and size 9-12 month clothes. We can't wait for summer to get here so we can get you in the POOL! I might have already bought you several adorable swimsuits to wear, since we Baggetts live in swimsuits! I can't wait to get you in that water!!

Here are your 8 month pictures!

First try at pictures...I realized after a few pics that this bow was really HUGE!! But you were just so happy, so I included it anyway!

Close up of really huge bow on really sweet head...

Equally happy baby with a better bow...

A little tired of posing...

Getting ready to try to crawl off...
Time for a location change!

Azaleas! These only bloom in March/April and they are gorgeous!!
They're called "Christmas Cheer."

Checking out the rocks...

If you look really close, you can see two teeth!

"Best pic you're gonna get Mom.
Now move, I can't see the puppies!"

"There the puppies are!!" Aubrey absolutely adores our two dachshunds, Abby and Alex.
Are you noticing a theme here? Annaleigh, Alden, Aubrey, Abby, and Alex???

"These rocks are dirty, Mama. You should clean them."

"They still taste okay!"
