Spring Break - Day 3

On Wednesday, the kids and I headed out to the Georgia Aquarium. Here were a few highlights from the day.

We rounded a corner from one of the exhibits and they had a face painting area that did SPIDER MAN!! You have never seen a happier boy! I also convinced Annaleigh to have it done, too. She is at the age where this is probably the last time I'll ever see this, so I had to take advantage while none of her friends were around to see it! I thought the lady did a really good job! Alden was in seventh heaven for the rest of the day!

Pregnancy - Week 18

This week, our pregnancy shot hails from Stone Mountain, GA. I thought that since we were in a different location, it would be fun to take the pic there. Annaleigh is the photographer, mind you, and this was supposed to have Stone Mountain in the background. Instead, we have me in a parking lot with a big tent!

This week, Baby Baggett is about 5.6 inches long and weighs about 6.7 ounces. He or she is kicking up a storm and both of the kids have even gotten to feel it, although Alden has little patience for it! He goes back and forth on whether it's a boy or a girl. One thing he is sure of is that he is going to be a big brother!

Spring Break - Day 2

On Tuesday, Jason had to go into work, so the kids and I slept late. I mean really late. Like past 10:30!! I think this was two-fold. Number one, we were exhausted from Monday's traveling and all day/night having fun. Two, when the blinds in the bedroom were closed, it was really dark, so everytime I woke up, I kept thinking it was still dark outside!

After we finally got up and got ready, the kids and I headed out to Stone Mountain. It was a gorgeous day...perfect weather!! The kids immediately wanted to ride the Sky Lift to the top of the Mountain, so we got in line and bought tickets. Only AFTER we went to the appropriate line to ride did we see a sign that said "No Pregnant Women." I know I might be asking a lot, but wouldn't this sign have been better placed back where you actually purchase the tickets?? So, the kids were understanding, and I went back and got a refund! After that, we basically just walked around and took random pics and messed around in the park. We really had a great time just being together, although we did miss Daddy!

Day 3 - Georgia Aquarium to follow!

Spring Break - Day 1

This past week was Spring Break in our part of Alabama. Jason had a business trip in Atlanta, so the kids and I tagged along for the ride. We did basically all of the typical tourist stuff and really had a good time. We were VERY lucky in that we got an absolutely fabulous room, and by that I mean the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE!! No, I'm not kidding! It had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room and dining room, as well as a small office/bar area. I was really worried about the kids and I getting tired of being in the room (though we were pretty much gone all day, every day), but frankly, they could actually get lost in there! I am so mad now though, b/c I forgot to take any pics of the room.

On Monday, we drove to Atlanta and went to the Zoo. Since this was considered to be Jason's travel day, he was able to go with us! Annaleigh had been before, but she was so little, she doesn't remember it.  The weather was beautiful, but it was a little windy toward the end of the day.

After the zoo, we checked into our fabulous hotel room and headed out to the famous Varsity restaurant. This is an iconic place in Atlanta that you have to visit at least once. This kids liked it so much, we actually went back again!

Pregnancy - Week 16

Although I was fairly sure last week, I am REALLY sure this week, that this baby is moving! We'll call this one "Thumper" because that's exactly what it feels like! I think we skipped right over the butterflies and gas bubbles and went straight to outright kicking! It's so sweet. Of course, when I'm up and busy, I don't feel a lot, but when I get still....WOW!

Although I don't remember the exact week, I do remember what I was doing and where I was when Annaleigh made her first move...Jason was off with the military doing something (he was active duty at the time and we were in Ft. Benning, GA) and I was home alone. I was sitting in the recliner drinking my favorite instant tea and cross-stitching a blanket that never actually came to be!! All of the sudden, I felt a very distinct kick! Since she was my first and I really wasn't sure, I did what any new mother-to-be would do...I called my Mama! She verified that it was probably my dear daughter indeed!

So sad, but with Alden, I have absolutely no recollection of when I first felt him move! What is it with middle children? Am I really reinforcing the stereotype subconciously??
